Where does one draw the line?  There are so many, but there are essentials.

This is a worthwhile exercise; have you tried it?  Bruce Campbell tabled the question something like, "If you flew to Mars with only five CDs, which ones would they be?"

Good question.  I'm working on it.  Hopefully I'll be ready before boarding time.

But in this age (week) of online songs, maybe we should modify (or add to this) a short list of songs?

Lots of thoughts on this, venturing off to the CD vs the Song issue.

I would miss the 'album' collection - those well-done record/album/CD collections.

But for now, it's about the Short List of Essential Songs, without which there will be silence on your way to Mars.

Tonight, I don't want to go without

The Tower of Power, Funk the Dumb Stuff.

Yes, it's just Funk.

But could I go without it?  Nowayyy!

Okay, what else?

The Beatles, I am the Walrus

Dare I say, John Lennon's finest?

I have no clue what he's talking about.
don't want to don't need to

I am so thankful to enjoy the ride.

There will be others who suggest another song

and they will be right enough.

My music ears awakened to this and

other music in 1967.

(I'm working on an online reflection of 1967, as this boy's ears opened to music
in the autumn and winter of 1967
